McMurry Study Abroad

We are excited to announce a partnership with Harlaxton College, located near London, England. Harlaxton will become an “anchor” site for McMurry’s study abroad opportunities.

Harlaxton College is owned by the University of Evansville, a Methodist institution similar to McMurry located in Evansville, Indiana. Harlaxton offers a full curriculum for semesters abroad as well as a very affordable summer term ($4500 for tuition, room, and board plus airfare). Excursions across Europe, of course, include an additional fee, but are quite possible by train. The average Harlaxton student visits nine countries while studying at the institution. Weekday schedules in the summer and during regular terms include classes Monday through Thursday, with Friday through Sunday available for travel. Most summer terms are taught by faculty members of Evansville’s partners.

Any student with a 2.5 GPA or above may apply to study at Harlaxton College, although scholarships begin at 3.0. A 3.25 GPA or above is required to apply for an honors scholarship (see below). Contact Dr. Mark Waters at 325-793-4997 or mwaters@mcm.edu for more information.
