Students in Paris

European Business School (EBS) Paris University

Bethany Malcolm ’21, early and childhood major and Francisco Avilez-Carichure ’20, B.B.A. accounting major (at left) spent a month in Paris in a cooperative study abroad trip with 10 students from the University of North Florida. The students took two 3-credit courses, one in International Resource Management and one in European Marketing at European Business School (EBS) Paris University, along with a 1-credit orientation in Business Culture, Paris. The students lived in a hotel in the western part of Paris and commuted to the EBS campus near the Eiffel Tower four days a week for classes. The end of the week was for sightseeing and travel. Dean Mason of the Johnson School of Business provided $1,500 scholarships for each of the students to make the trip considerably more affordable and he hopes to be able to provide many more scholarships for significantly more students to study abroad in the spring and summer of 2019. Two more students depart with CIS instructor Elizabeth Watson to Argentina on June 22 for a similar cooperative program.
