Religion graduate Jessica Barnes Bellemer earned master’s degrees at Yale Divinity School and the University of North Carolina and is now Director of the Library at Hood Theological Seminary.

Our graduates succeed in gaining admission and financial aid at the leading American theological seminaries. They have received full-tuition scholarships at Duke Divinity School, Perkins School of Theology at SMU, Candler School of Theology at Emory University, Princeton Theological Seminary, Yale Divinity School, and Harvard Divinity School. Other graduates have succeeded at Asbury Theological Seminary, Brite Divinity School at TCU, Truett Theological Seminary and the Law School of Baylor University, and Marquette University.

Religion majors have presented academic papers in the student sections of the annual meetings of the Southwest Commission on Religious Studies and the Great Plains Regional Honors Conference. Both Religion and Christian Ministry majors have ample opportunity to conduct research, work closely with the faculty, complete internships in ministry, and benefit from the advice of Bishop in Residence Dan Solomon and Chaplain Tim Kennedy as they prepare for seminary. Several students also hold part-time positions in local churches.
