Amy Graves Ryan Fine Arts Gallery

The Amy Graves Ryan Fine Arts Gallery is the main exhibition space at McMurry University. Along with serving as a teaching tool, the gallery exhibits the works of students, faculty, and local and regional artists.

Most exhibits include artist lectures and receptions, allowing the artists to connect with both students and the Abilene community.

The Gypsy Ted Gallery-McMurry University

The Gypsy Ted Gallery is a student directed art gallery on the campus of McMurry University. Located across Hunt Street from the Amy Graves Ryan Fine Art Center, the small stucco house was the home of McMurry’s first Dean of Fine Arts, Gypsy Ted Sullivan Wylie, who served from 1923-1947. Painted in the vibrant colors of Frieda Kahlo’s home in Mexico City, this gallery is run by a qualified student director who is responsible for all student exhibitions, art management, preparatory work and receptions. This gallery is open by appointment.
